A person who purifies himself will get entry to Paradise. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى (87.14) “One who purifies himself will be successful.” It is baseless to believe that a person will enter Paradise based on intercession. This is a concept developed by Muslims. In our country, if a minister recommends your name, you may get a job you are seeking.

This is not true in the matter of Paradise. Paradise is for those who have purified themselves. What is tazkia? It is to develop a personality which is desirable for Paradise. For example, being truthful, fulfilling your promises, having fear of God, being self-disciplined, worshipping God, and so on. A person who has developed these qualities in himself will find entry to Paradise. The concept of getting Paradise based on intercession is entirely baseless. There is no foundation for it.
