The Quran, God’s preserved guidebook for mankind, stresses the importance of man’s discovery of Truth. The objective of the Quran is to make man aware of the Creation plan of God. Maulana Wahiduddin Khan translated The Quran into contemporary, easy-to-read English that is considered clear, simple, and easy-to-understand contemporary English. Presenting Islam in the Modern Idiom
Maulana Wahiduddin Khan has been writing since the 1950s. His first article was published in 1955 under the title ‘On the Threshold of a New Era’ (Urdu: Naye Ahd Ke Darwaze Par) in which he understood the need to present Islam in a contemporary style. Making this his life’s mission, Maulana authored more than 200 books in Urdu and English. These have been translated into English, Hindi, Arabic, Punjabi, Sindhi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Spanish, French, Thai, Turkish, and many other languages. Acting as supporting literature to the Quran, they make Islam understandable in a contemporary style and continue to guide humanity by addressing the minds of seekers of truth and inquisitive minds of all ages. AL-RISALA MAGAZINE
Presenting Islam as a Living Force
Maulana Wahiduddin Khan launched Al-Risala magazine in Urdu as the voice of the mission in 1976. The magazine acquired a wide circulation in India and abroad and has been regularly published since its inception. The first issues of its English and Hindi versions were launched in 1984 and 1990 respectively. Presenting the universal message of Islam, they gained popularity both among Muslims and people of other faiths who wanted to understand the true face of Islam. Al-Risala was relaunched in Hindi in May 2021. Anyone who wants to understand Islam in the modern idiom only needs to read Al-Risala. Al-Risala Urdu, Urdu-Hindi and Hindi continue to be published today, both in print and online formats. The magazine presents Islam in contemporary style, as a living force. Spirit of Islam is the voice of the CPS Mission in English. The magazine aims to usher in an intellectual revolution in individuals by re-engineering their minds on God-oriented lines so that they become dutiful and peaceful members of society.
