God's innumerable blessings are pouring down upon us day and night.
The first verse in the Quran is: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (1:2) If you know the blessings that God Almighty has given you, you will forget every loss. You will only praise God, keep thinking about God's blessings and remain grateful. The day of Eid reminds us of this reality in a symbolic way.

In this sense, the day of Eid is a day of thankfulness. According to a hadith, the day of Eid is يوم الجائزة (Shu'abul Iman 3421) This is a day of reward. On Eid, the angels comes down to give out reward. What does this mean? It doesn’t mean that this happens on a special day or special night. Or that when a certain night comes, this will happen automatically. Rather, you have to discover on the day of Eid that political loss is nothing. Political loss, material loss or communal loss is nothing.
God's blessing pouring down upon us day and night in the form of the life support system is far greater in importance for us. Eid is a day of joy because it is a day of thankfulness. We have to discover on this day that loss in nothing. The gain we have is far more than any loss.
